Department of Samhita and Siddhant

Samhita & Siddhant is the most important Department of Ayurveda also known as Basic principles. This department is concerned with teaching all ancient Ayurvedic textbooks in their original form as they were propagated from ancient time till now. The department aims at continuing the tradition of Ayurveda in its intact form along with adopting new modern technologies. Our vision is to give new visionary to our students to develop Ayurveda into Advanced Ayurveda without hurting its basic principles and traditional way. The department enduring foundation for BAMS and all other streams of clinical & non clinical practices holds responsibility of teaching Samhita Adhyan -1 (Ancient Textes - Ashtang Hridayam & Charak Samhita), Padarth vigyan (basic Fundamentals of Ayurveda & Quantum Mechanics) and Sanskrit (Language) in 1st professional syllabus, Samhita Adhyan -2 (Charak samhita) in 2nd Professional syllabus, Samhita Adhyan-3 (Charak samhita) and Research methodology subject in 3rd professional syllabus of BAMS course.
